What this means is that USC has many Pac 10 opponents out there that are motivated, have leverage, want revenge, or simply walk with a chip on their shoulder (code for eager to beat USC). Other supposedly less talented Pac 10 teams, such as Oregon, Oregon State, Cal, Stanford, and Washington have proven this a fact.Inquiry into the unseen or quality of play, wins, and results is not easy or tangible and can be left out of even the best coached teams game plan. Pete Carroll has always stayed focused on his own game and has motivated his players to fight their fight and let the less equipped or talented team lose. Personally, I believe Steve Sarkesian rallied his players to believe they could beat USC, they set their minds to it, and they did it. The new coach at Oregon, Chip Kelly, has brought a vibrant quality of football to the Pac 10, it will only get more challenging for USC to sustain itself as a dynasty. So one might ask, is this type of motivation invincible Can this phenomenon affect players that know each other from California How can USC prepare for this "rallytake no prisoners effect" Mental preparation at USC (in my personal experience) has always beenyou are one of the few, the chosen, and you will rise to the legacy of this school and win.
The Spirit of Troy is powerful and remains a dominant force in college football. This is the flip side of the coin when players can be caught in this complex set of beliefs to the extent that they don't have the "gut level" drive to overpower a team that wants it more than they. All the talent and expertise in the world will not break that team's resolve without having one of their own.All great teams must modify their game plan with intelligent strategies that apply to the team they are playing. A one-size fits all mentality I believe will always result in a season where one or two less-talented but more spirited teams will beat them.

USC, a well-oiled football machine can integrate a deep mental and spiritual preparation that takes these phenomena into account. I am not recommending USC throw the winning baby out with the bathwater, I am suggesting that coaches and players flex their game-strategy minds to incorporate a subset of plays and mental frameworks that combat those teams that can use rejection, leverage, vendetta, or a chip on their shoulder to take down a dynasty. . World Number 1 Roger Federer survived a scare in the 1st set before storming back to beat his compatriot Marco Chiudinelli and seal his place in the final of the ATP 500 event in Basel much to the delight of his home crowd and tennis fans around the world. The World Number 1 had to save a set point before winning the 1st set on a tiebreaker, he then got an early break and then raced through the 2nd set 6-3. Recently, the wrestling world has had many different power shifts among its ranks. Jeff Jarrett seems to have been cut out of the loop with TNA, both Linda and ShaneMcMahon left the WWE, and Hogan and Bischoff signed with TNA. What seems most interesting to me is that somewhere down the line we could see two female promoters face off in wrestling for the first time ever.Since Shane announced his future plans to leave the WWE, everyone has been asking what Stephanie's role will be with the company when Vince retires. It has been said her future position may be in jeopardy after some comments made by Vince in a conference call with investors where he said that a last name is not a guaranteed position in the WWE.For the last few years, Dixie Carter has been running the business end of TNA in the background. Now she isbeginning to cultivate a public image for herself as the figurehead of TNA. While she has expressed no interest in being an on-air talent, she is certainly more known now than six months ago. Her first major appearance came at the signing of Bobby Lashley to the company a few months back. Since then she has been in front of the camera whenever a major change hasoccurred in TNA.If Dixie stays in charge and Stephanie takes the reigns of the WWE we will see the industry, for the first time ever, be run by two female promoters. This could actually shake things up quite a bit, or it might not change anything. Dixie having been in charge for awhile now would most likely not do anything different, but Princess Stephanie may change the landscape of WWE completely if she gets the chance to take over. One thing is for sure, in the next 10 years, wrestling as we know it will be changed forever.
So...Are you a NY Giants fan, better yet are you a real NY giants fanI know, being a real NY Giant fan has gotten a bit harder in recent weeks. We're in week 9 of the 2009 season and 'Big Blue' is on a 3 game slide. They've got San Diego this week, but I'm confident they'll get a win at home. Beacause, a real fan never gives up on his team, if you shut that embarrassment in Philly off any sooner than the 4thquarter, I hate to break it to ya, a real fan watched it until a come-back bordered on impossible. If "God forbid" they drop the next 2 and head it to the post season stretch at 5 and 5, all the nay sayers will be out and about. The same guys that swore Eli was a bum and that we would never win a super bowl with him, the same guys that expected the Giants to lose the wild card game in Tampa in 07, and when they got out of Florida with a win, it didn't matter because Dallas was going to kill them anyway.
